The dual cannulas are used with some demand type concentrators or Helios liquid oxygen. The nosepiece is divided into right and left sides with a separate tube and connector for each side. One side senses the breath while the other delivers oxygen.
The length is 1 foot longer than the indicated number, i.e. a D-4 is 5 foot long measured from the nosepiece to the end connector.
